Ky Kramer was named the St. Edmond Head Boys Basketball Coach. Read on for more.

Ky Kramer is a Cedar Rapids native who played two years at Iowa Central Community College. After spending time at Midland University in Nebraska, he finished his degree at Mt. Mercy in Cedar Rapids. He didn’t like sitting behind a desk, so became an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Iowa Central for six years. He stayed there about 1 ½ years longer, but wanted to get back into basketball. This is how he came to be the Head Boys’ Basketball Coach at St. Edmond.

  • As Head Basketball Coach, Kramer considers the past, the present, and the program. The Past: The alum, their support for the program, donations they give, etc.
  • The Present: This is a focus on three team areas: Accountability, Development, and Trust.
  • The Program: A successful high school program is about developing the upcoming youth

Apart from SE Basketball, Ky is now the Cemetery Sextant for Holy Trinity Parish. His wife, Teresa (Doyle) Kramer, is a pharmacist for the hospital. They have two young daughters.

Rotary wishes him the best, as he steps into the St. Edmond Head Boys Basketball Coach role!

PS: Go Gaels!
